Roger Price Bible Studies

Roger Price was a passionate believer in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, and the Bible as the inerrant Word of God. His teaching and Bible studies are steeped in research and sound Biblical doctrine.

The Basic Bible Study (BBS) course is a set of nearly 100 talks, which provide a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of Christian living and belief. They were recorded by Roger Price between 1974 and 1986, initially for members of the Chichester Christian Fellowship. Roger was a very charismatic speaker, who was skilled at explaining complex subjects, so the BBS course has remained popular to this day.

The course is divided into 6 series: Salvation, Judgement, Fulfilled Prophecy, Unfulfilled Prophecy, The Character of God, The Word of God & Essentials for Growth. It is intended that listeners start at the beginning and progress forward, as Roger assumes prior knowledge from previous talks. However, the majority of talks are stand-alone topics.

Highlights of the course include topics such as salvation, being born-again, eternal security, grace before judgement, Calvary, baptism, the Trinity, God’s character, dispensations, the Tribulation, the Holy Spirit, prayer, forgiveness and God’s love.

Although Roger was an evangelical, a number of these talks cover universal Christian truths, so listeners from different backgrounds can still gain enormously from the BBS course.

Although the theology remains the same, time has affected the sound quality of some talks and some references may be a little dated. Please let us know if you have any concerns using the contact form on the website.

Our ideas about what a church should be often fall far short of the divine ideal; God has not made the Church to be a ‘lonely hearts club' but a vital, living organism. The Greek word, koinonia, sums it up.
